With the GRANIFRIGOR™ cooling equipment, the cereal is cooled immediately after harvest regardless of weather conditions. This effective method prevents the freshly harvested cereal from spoiling, which, due to its own breathing, heats up on its own. Grain respiration releases carbon dioxide, water and heat, with far-reaching consequences: the loss of dry mass, as well as the development of insects, microbes and fungi. This proper heating depends on the humidity and temperature of the cereal.
